Athena Chan, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in Human Development and Family Sciences at Texas Tech University and the Principal Investigator co-creating the WisE Program.

Rodlescia Sneed, Ph.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor of Gerontology and Psychology at Wayne State University and the Co-Investigator co-creating the WisE Program
What do we want to Accomplish?
This is a two-year research project that partners with community members to develop an Intergenerational Wisdom Exchange (WisE) Program for Black and Hispanic older adults who are socially isolated living in Lubbock, Texas and Metro Detroit, Michigan. This project aims to create social bonds and promote meaningful engagement between older and younger generations through the exchange of life stories and computer literacy training.
